This agreement is between El Dorado VIP Boarding Kennels (Kennel
) and the undersigned pet owner (Owner
).
1. Payment & Fees
Owner agrees to pay the boarding rates in effect at check-in. All fees are due at time of pick-up.
Failure to pick up a pet within 72 hours of the scheduled check-out date, without prior arrangement,
will result in boarding fees doubling beginning on the scheduled check-out date.
2. Right of Retention
The Kennel reserves the right to retain possession of the pet until all charges are paid in full.
3. Veterinary Care
If a pet becomes ill or injured, the Kennel may, at its discretion, obtain veterinary treatment.
All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the Owner.
4. Standard of Care & Limitation of Liability
The Kennel agrees to exercise reasonable care while the pet is boarded. The Owner agrees that the Kennel’s
liability is limited to the lesser of:
- The current fair market value of the pet, or
- $200 per animal
Owner assumes full responsibility for the pet’s actions and behavior while boarded.
5. Damage to Property
Owner is responsible for the repair or replacement of any Kennel property damaged by their pet.
6. Personal Belongings
The Kennel is not responsible for lost, damaged, or destroyed personal items, including food bowls, bedding,
toys, or collars.
7. Escape Liability Waiver
Owner releases the Kennel from liability should the pet escape during playtime or routine care,
despite reasonable precautions.
8. Health Certification
Owner certifies that the pet has not been exposed to rabies, parvo, or distemper within the past 30 days and
is fully vaccinated. If vaccination status cannot be verified, the Kennel may have vaccinations administered
at the Owner’s expense.
9. Parasite Policy
Pets arriving with fleas, lice, or ticks will be treated at the Owner’s expense or may be refused service.
10. Right to Refuse Service
The Kennel reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time for safety or health reasons.
